Cool want a new grille for a new look

hey guys im thinking about replacing my grille but was wondering where to find a good deal on one...id like to just find the framing (ill buy custom inserts) and i want one that is just primed so i can color match it with my flame red paint

or if anyone knows of a place that i can buy one thats already color matched that would be awesome

i would just paint the one i have but some idiot backed into it in a parking lot and left while i was in a store so it has a chunk out of the lower right corner....also my bumper is a little messed up from it so i plan on getting a flat black plastic bumper to replace it and then getting the same style fender flares (flat black) but thats all once i have some more money ha

Rock auto has chrome ones for $56. Some on ebay too, but more expensive. I don't see unpainted ones anywhere. Scuff it and paint/clearcoat it, thats what I did, been over 2 years now, no issues with it.

Search ebay. There was a place that parted out wrecks. I got a painted one that I scuffed and had the Dodge logo removed and filled. Grille was like $40.

I debated a new grill for the past couple years, finally dropped just over $200 and got the bentley style grille, very happy with it, but like jkeaton said, a little scuff work like wet sanding with 600 grit and just some simple spray can clear primer coats and you can top it off with whatever your color code is on your truck, I've heard great things about duplicolor...

What did you use to fill it?

Actually, the guys at Maaco did it. I figure they used regular body filler since it was only like an 1/8 inch deep at most.

Found a couple grilles on ebay that come with black primer already applied so i may go that direction and then paint it...im now debating on whether to go with the red of my truck or go with a flat or matte black and do the same with my bumper...saw some pics of a guys dakota that he did that to and i have to say it looks nice...he also dumped some money into a 3" lift, a roll bar with kc lights, clear cab lights on the roof, fender flares, and 20" rims with 33" mudders...looks really good in my opinion

But yea im leaning toward going with black and would i be crazy to then pop my inserts out and spray them red? Thinking it would be unique but idk if id like it or not...any thoughts?
