So what did you find out. I am really wanting a set of these if they will fit.

 

It has to be 4th gen 1500 mirrors. I believe the 2500/3500 mirrors do not cross over to the 1500. The mirrors on my Dads 2005 3500 will not fit on our truck. Easy way to tell, take a tape measure and go to the local dodge dealer. Measure the size of the mirror where it bolts against the door and if the measurement is the same, then you are closer. The other thing is the plug is different on other mirrors as well, so if you found something you think will fit, unless you want to splice your wires together, better make sure the plug is the same on the inside of the mirror.

I callEd and can verify that sleds is right the 2500 do not carry over to the 1500

 

sleds, if your out there, what does the inside of your mirror measurement? the dakotas is about 8 1/8 inches and the ram 1500 4th gen 2009 is about 10 1/2. please advise

so the outside next to the glass...

 

The vertical measurement is 8.5", the bottom of the mirror is 7 1/8", the diagonal measurement is 11 1/4"
