Discount Tire .com has a rebate of $100 on a set of 4 tires, (or $75 for some brands), and another $100 rebate for a set of 4 wheels.
It's their usual Memorial Day sale, and they do this on Labor Day too.
$100 tire rebate is for any 4 BFGoodrich, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, or Pirelli tires.
$75 rebate is for any 4 Bridgestone, Cooper, Falken, Fierce, General, Hankook, Kumho, Nitto, Vogue, or Yokohama tires.
Details here
If you have a Discount Tire near you, you can go to their location for the same rebate, Details here.
And any other tire manufacturer rebate can be submitted also.

In last weekend pull out ad from the newspaper, Harbor Freight has a coupon for their 1 ton shop crane. $99. Might be able to find the coupon online.
I bought one, gone is the ugly orange color. And all six wheels swivel, which makes it easier to move the engine sideways when installing.

That Sears tool kit would be a good starter set for someone who's getting going on doing their own work. I got a set of metric 1/2" drive sockets in '75 and still use them almost every time I go a wrenchin'.
Sears sells a magnetic socket rail for keeping your sockets together and organized. Excellent!
Someone is sure to mention that Craftsman is no longer made in the US and blah blah about the quality of oriental tools. I've been around mechanics tools for about 45 years and the improvement in quality of the likes of oriental Craftsman and Harbor Freight wrenches and sockets is amazing. I have a $nap-on 1/2" drive clicker torque wrench that I got in the early 70's--as a home mechanic I wouldn't buy one today. My other torque wrenches are Harbor freight and they are good quality and decently accurate (within 4%.)

I'm looking for another set of basic tools to carry with me on road trips. I bought the cheaper Chinese set from sears about 8 years ago, they are getting rusty and I'm missing quite a few sockets and wrenches. I figure I'll go with a higher quality this time around.
