Sold the 06 Dakota today for a 2012 Silverado Z71. The dakota was starting to have a solid knock in the engine and I have been honestly tired of driving a 2 wheel drive in New England plus all the problems I keep having with the truck. It was a good ride while it lasted.

Congrats on the purchase. I can understand the need for a 4x4 in New England.

Ram was having good deals here on the 2012 Rams, One of the supervisors replaced his 2010 Caravan with a 2012 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, 4x4, Hemi, Loaded with Leather and the Bed Toolboxes for $17k off. My supervisor got his old Caravan. (Both are Company Vehicles)

One for the guys at work even said hes a Big Ford fan, but loves the Ram we bought.

Only reasons I wouldnt buy the new Silverados or GMC 1500's is because they have Proprietary front marker lights which are about $25 to replace, each. and the truck has 4 of them.
Even my mech thought it was ridiculous, that how I found out haha

But I do love the looks or them, and the Rams. The F150's not so much now

I went to dodge for a used or new Ram. They offered me $2,000 for my dakota with 100,000 miles, wanted $7500 down and my payments would be close to $800 a month. Wouldn't tell me what the interest rate was or anything and didn't want to work with me on a truck. I drove a 2010 ram and loved it but it'll be a damn cold day in hell when I pay even close to $800 a month for a truck especially after putting $8k down.

I think the saddest part of the whole thing is I won't have a vehicle on the forum anymore. I don't post a ton but I'm on here every day reading all the new posts.

I would have went to a different dealer, found a good deal on the same or better Ram, and then done burn-outs in the original dealer's parking lot with your newly purchased truck.
