Just purchased a Pop & Lock 8100 to install in my 2007 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab.
Not sure what wires to splice into and where.
The power lock has two wires and tells you to access driver door kick panel.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience where to splice and what color wires.

I think it would be easiest to splice somewhere under the drivers dash.

I don't remember anybody adding a power tailgate lock on their Dakota. Some members with Rams have the lock installed.
Search in the Ram sections, 3rd and 4th Gens, for some guidance.

 

Sounds like they want you to connect to power door lock switch so that all locks work off that switch at the same time.
