J.D. Power and Associates Dependability Study
Maybe I shouldn't, but I trust J.D. Power and Associates studies far above and beyond Consumer Reports, which love imports for unknown reasons. I once read that Toyota owned part of Consumer Reports... food for thought at least.
Anyway, J.D. Power and Associates looked at the 2010 model year, now that they are three years old, and asked people how many problems they had had. Despite Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler being towards the bottom as having a few more problems than others, Ram (Dakotas, 1500s, etc.) were towards the top. The Dakota was voted 2nd most dependable mid-sized truck, right after the Ranger. It actually beat the Honda Ridgeline!

Sorry if I sounded a bit enthusiastic, I just thought it was neat that the Dakota beat out the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. Everyone loves to brag about how reliable their 'yotas are...
