Default Farewell

I sold the 2006 Dodge Dakota.

I owned it outright so I sold it privately for cash, and got what I was asking for it.

It was no longer worth keeping around and commuting with. Gas is just too expensive these days gentlemen.

I figured it would be better to just have the cash and start saving on gas. (I have a car too, a 2002 Saturn SL2 that gets 32 MPG).

Its nice having the money from the sale and equally nice saving nearly $50 at each fill up in gas in comparison (Truck vs. Car). I figured there was no sense in letting the truck sit and lose value while I drive the car, might as well pocket some money before gas climbs even more and the truck gets even older.

It has been fun, the forum has been very helpful over the years.

Farewell Dodge Dakota!

I was in the same situation. Truck just sitting there collecting dust, but I owed money on mine and had to keep full coverage insurance on it. I got what I owed and it's saving me almost $500 a month not having it anymore. Good luck and come back for avisit every now and then. Your knowledge and expertise is welcomed here anytime.

Sounds like an easy decision to make. If I could do without mine, I'd do the same. It would cost me more money in beer to my friends everytime I needed a truck than the extra gas.
