Default elect window

I have 2005 Dakota slt 4x4 quad cab . I just got done changing the front struts, the sway bar end links, for 4th time Did anyone notice they changed the length to an in. or more shorter, so you can get them in without having to remove half the front end. Also new trans axle for front right side. new plugs and mobil 1 oil and filter. Just have two issues now you cant get the passenger side front door to open from inside but works from outside and the front drivers side door window won't go down or up checked wiring to switch was fine. This same window motor failed and was replaced by dodge under warr.Anyone take these apart and fix?

This should be a Easy fix, to explain it, on the back side of your handle is a hole. There is a medal rod that drops into that hole and a plastic clasp that locks it into place. The clip may of broke which than you can use a thick ziptie to prevent it from snapping, or all it may of just popped out. Simply put it back in and rotate the plastic clasp.
Allyou need is a Phillips head screw driver. Take the screws out of the door, one will be behind the handle, and the little pocket on the armrest, and I believe 3 on the bottom. (mine is roll up window so you may have be careful regarding your panel of switches, which should just pop out and than unclasp the harness.)The door panel itself slides down onto the door. So you can simply left it up. You will see the clasp by the handle and metal rod system! Good luck!
Now when putting back together, you have about 3-4in"s of play so be careful not to pop the rod back out. When placing it back on the door, line up the bottom hooks first, (they snap easily) than the top. Slide the door down and hook up your power window.
Good luck on the motor, I'm sure you can find one at a junkyard off of a Dakota/Durango/ram... etc...
