So the time has come to possibly be trading in my truck, bitter sweet. I went for an oil change a couple weeks ago and had the dealer appraise my truck for a trade in value and said they'd give me 11k and change and I think that's pretty good given 66k miles! So I've been checking out the 2014 Ram Sports and lets say the odds are looking good!!

The 08 Dakotas that I see with similar and higher miles are selling for $16,000 plus, mostly with 6 cylinders.
$11,000 is the going rate for 05's with more miles around here.

Examples: 08 TRX Club cab with 65K, 6 cyl.
Another 08 club cab, 6 cyl.

If you're looking to do it though, then go for it, but 11 grand seems really low.

Thats about what I sold my 05 for with 80k. Seems kinda low. I's take it to carmax and see what they would offer before accepting.
