What next for my 08?
Ouch, I leave you guys alone for a couple of days and you go all "lord of the flies, old man edition" on me...
What I am hearing here is that I might want a Superchips? There seems to be a couple different numbers listed for my truck, are there any differences between them that would make me want one over another?

First, I agree with what's said about the SC Tuner, best bang:buck ratio mod under $2K IMO...
Barry,
if you wanna add a sub in a quad cab there are many here that have added one, just depends on a few things, such as:
1. How much bass do you want (i.e. size of sub)
2. Does it matter to you if you sacrifice existing space (i.e. floor, back seat, center console, etc)
3. Do you want it completely hidden
4. How much (if any) custom fab work are you willing/able to do
I'll try to add a few pics of where I put my stereo stuff to keep it all completely hidden. If I can find the write up I posted here when I did it, I'll try to add the link as well. PM me if you have any other questions.

Ok, I was about to pull the trigger on a Superchips [4th of July sale, YO!] and I noticed a problem that I had not anticipated. The Flashpaq that Autoanything lists for 2008 Dakota lists the only option as 4.7L HO, and I thought mine was the 4.7L FLEX. I didn't think my 4.7 was the HO version [like they put in the Grand Cherokee]. They also don't list what model of SC. Amazon has an even better deal, but *they* list the 3840 and the 3865 as Hemi-only
I looked at threads here and see the 3840 and the 3865 both recommended, but Superchips seems to list a 3841 or 3842, and I have no idea about the 49 state vs the 50 state version other than I am NOT in CALI. Help?

Or visit superchips website and see what they list for your specific vehicle. You can never go wrong by going straight to the manufacturer of any accessory you are considering. Get the most current part number, then shop around with that. The 3865 (what I had) is long gone from what I have been reading. You can call them to find out if they have one for your specific engine. Better than waiting around for someone here to guess.......Do some research on your own by contacting the manufacturer.
I guess you are right. I was just hoping not to pay FULL RETAIL for this if I could avoid it. And like I said, there is conflicting information. Amazon wants to sell me one part number, Autoanything insists another is the correct one, and when I search the number superchips lists, I get bupkis.
