Default Tonneau Cover Spacer?

Curious if something like this even exists. I love my fiberglass tonneau cover, but there are times when I wish it was just a few inches higher so that I could store taller items in the bed of my truck. Do any of you know if there is a product on the market that you could install between your bed rails and tonneau cover to raise the height a few inches?

Thanks for the feedback. My brother is actually a mechanical engineer that works in the sheet metal fabrication industry. Gonna talk to him in the near future and see if maybe we can work something up. I'll keep y'all posted if we actually get anywhere in this venture.

That's actually not a bad idea. I've been thinking hard about ditching my tonneau cover for a soft topper or camper shell because it is so damn frustrating trying to put even moderately sized items in the bed.

Exactly! If one was designed to be "commercialized", it could one of two ways. Either try to make a "universal" kit that is adjustable to a degree in length and width...or try to deal with as many different bed sizes as possible.
