Why do you love your truck?
Here's one that might change the section up a bit. State 3 reasons why you love your truck, no more, no less. DO NOT state reasons why you hate your truck. All of us have already b*tched enough to start a National Geographic 3g Dakota F*ckery volume.
3 reasons why you love your truck:
1.) I have over 170K...factory engine, trans, clutch
2.) It already looks like a pre-runner with out fiberglass
3.) I hardly ever see other 3g daks, and when I see one that is modded...the other owner and I stare like our lives depended on to see what the other truck has as we pass each other.

What I loved about the Dakota:
The color, interior and trim level (Laramie FTW)
The sound of that 4.7 winding up. She was a screamer!
The look. Stands out in a crowd.
What I love about my current truck (95 Z71):
Soooo easy to work on.
Tons of torque from the 350
Looks great, rides great for a 20 year old truck.

I know this is an old thread but since my Dakota is coming up on it's 10th year anniversary (2007 3rd gen) I've been thinking about what I love about my truck. It has honestly been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned.
1. Dependable/Reliable. It's at 180k right now and has always been a dependable daily driver.
2. Power. The 4.7 V8 has proven itself more times than I can count. I bought this truck with the tow package and it's pulled everything from boats to trailers without issues. I also maintain the truck very well and it still gets a lot of pickup and impresses.
3. Roomy. Yeah it's a mid-size but this gen truck really put it up there to close the gap with the full size. I've test driven a Colorado and Tacoma and the Dakota feels wider to me.
