searching this site
i have been really frustrated searching here because i belong to a lot of forums and they all have an advanced search tab. i looked all over the place and couldnt find it here. i figured out that its at the bottom as if search forum is its own forum. THE FORUM JUMP TAB
dont wanna bust your ***** but its kind of dumb. would have saved alot of time and money as it turns out if i would have known that. maybe like a sticky or something?

Right above each post (upper right corner) there is a 'Search this forum' tab.
Clicking on it opens a box to enter the search criteria, or there is an 'Advanced Search' link in red right below the box.

ETA: The box is at the top of the thread, ie: above the very first post.

This. You should have searched for the search.
Here is the way I found out gives the best results when searching for a topic on this, or any forum.
Say you're looking for information on 'disc brakes', for example.
Type the line below into Google: (Click the link below)
dodgeforum.com 3rd gen dakota disc brakes
Always use the same dodgeforum.com 3rd gen dakota, and then what topic you're searching for after that. Then you can also click on the 'More results from dodgeforum.com' on the bottom of the list. Also look at the results from other forums and question sites below the DF results.
This works on any forum out there better than any search function available.
