i broke the little loop on my only key today. my key is black 3 button. how do i know if i have dodge security system?

from what im reading i think i can just buy any old key thats cut properly? i dont care about any silly buttons yo

 

Chipped keys regardless if the have the built in fob. Usually dealer or locksmith can program. Someone else will chime in.

 

Three items needed for resolution: Zip ties, Copenhagen, New Belgium Trippell. Problem solved.

Since you only have one key, you cannot program a new fob yourself. With two working fobs, you can buy additional keys on Ebay and program them yourself.

 

went by the dealer and they are gonna pay for me to get another key. yea me!
