What is the best trans to marry up to a med hp hemi for my 2008 dakota 4c4 and will I also need a transfer case or will my dakota one work

 

the one in the truck should bolt right up. There is a couple guys that used their original trannies for the swap and made it work. but they were swapping the 4.7 out. I'm not sure if the v6 has the same transmission. I'm staying with the getrag 238 in mine. It bolted right up the the 5.7 hemi.

 

The 2008 3.7 came with the 42RLE (4 speed) transmission.

 

I got a 45 rfe for the swap but still need to know if my transfer case will work or if I need a different one
