Alright boys. With winter right around the corner i want to hear what you guys have done to get your truck ready for the snow and cold. What things have you guys kept in your truck? Any modifications? What has worked for you guys and what hasn't?

I kept a chain to pull people out of ditches. An ice scraper. Pair of insulated gloves/toboggan hat. First aid kit. Flashlight. Phone charger cable. Washed and waxed before salted road season. Checked tire pressures and all fluid levels.

Regular maintenance is usually enough.Good battery. Make sure coolant is good to temps you will have. Put in some cold weather gear like extra coat and gloves.Maybe a shovel. 4x4 can get you in a lot of trouble if your not careful. Good wash and wax before it gets to cold. Most important is when the road conditions are such where you cant see or the county has said no travel advised just stay home. I may sound like a fun hater, but I am so over seeing if I can make it thew that stuff. Driving when you cant see farther then the end of the hood to make it to work not for me anymore. A warm house (or shop) and a good beverage on a storm day is best.
