In my 2006 automatic there is a penetration up and left of the steering column that I think is for the shifter cable. It pushes out just under the master brake cylinder towards the centerline and can be reached from underneath. I ran my remote starter and foglight wires through there. It worked out pretty easy, just push them through on a clothes hanger end or something a little rigid. Have fun.
