Default We need a lift kit

I think we should all add to thispost on how we are impatiently waiting for a lift kit, preferable like the 2nd gen. 4" and 6" kits. Describe how miserable our lives are without one. And then we should send this link to several lift kit manufacturers to encourage a kit for us.

Well heres some bad news for ya. I contacted several lift kit companies. The only reply I got was from BDS Suspensions and they said they have no plans on making a lift kit for 05 and up dakotas. They said the suspensions on these trucks have nothing in common with other dodge products so it would not be worth making a kit. I did reply to them and said it was a mistake to ignore the 05 and up dakotas because I know a ton of people who are dying to get there hands on a lift kit. I myself would like a nice 3 or 4 inch kit. That would make this truck perfect.

Yeah, we are all well aware that a lift kit needs to be made for our trucks. If I could do anything to change it, make some company actually turn their egotistical heads towards us I would. I remember someone with an 05 Dakota got a custom lift made for his truck, paid by CarSponsorships.com I think. SO, if you're willing to spend the quite a few thousand for a custom made one, go right ahead. lol

The rear is easy, I mean a Kit sometimes isnt much more then a bunch of stuff you could put together yourself. Like a 3" kit say. You could do the TRX4 Springs, with 2" spacers, or have 3" spacers fabbed. Then you can add-a-leaf to out rear, many will work, even if they dont say there for our truck specifically. Add-a-leafs are usually shared among many applications. You could do a 3" lift on this truck no problem. Throw 33" tires on, now you got a total of 5" of lift. Unless your doing some serious wheelin, where even the best stuff breaks, a setup like this would hold out great. Done it so many times on the trucks in my friends/family driveways.
