I didn't realize there was this much thought behind tires... I mean I've always known about diameter, and tread...but I didn't know about speed ratings and LT's and Ps ...wow... I feel stupid now [sm=hail.gif]

Wouldn't you know, I got these tires after the recent big Nor'Easter we just had. And now it's clear and sunny for quite a few more days. So we'll have to wait some b4 testing wet traction. I'll post afterwards though. BTW, there are several different models of Grabbers, not just the AT2, like the HP's, UHP's....Being an off road forum, I'm sure they were talkin bout the AT2's.....And I also read that the old original AT's (not the AT2's) were POS and but that General did much better with these new ones.....

I hear the UHP's are pretty good... mainly from Frenchy...but I believe it was... tirerack.com...or another site like that...that gave them a really good review too.

Ya, they are the number 1 rated summer tire for trucks... and they are also the cheapest...

How strange.

General makes amazing tires, I almost bought the AT2s.. but since my dad was buying them for me, as a way to make sure I was safe in the winter (thanks Dad) he decided he wanted to make sure he was gonna buy a tire that had a really good rep. I guess.

I love how my Firestones handle. Even though I only have about 900 miles on them, they are amazing. The General's woulda cost a lot more, due to having to have to pay shipping, as no one locally carries them. So we went with the Firestones. :-)

It was raining hard this am for the first time since gettin these tires, so I went for a spirited romp. I'll say these hook up much better than the Eagle LS in the rain. On a left turn from a stop sign I could romp it and get the back end to fishtail like on snow with the Eagles...Couldn't get it to do it with the Grabber AT2s....I am impressed (although I am alittle biases, as I generally love these tires anyways). No hydroplaning issues either, from what I could tell in my 4 mile drive--went through deep puddles too.
