Default aluminum lift blocks vs. cast iron lift blocks

Hey everyone. I am wondering if anyone knows metal. I used Aluminum lift blocks when I did my rear. I am just now noticing that most all of the big companies use cast iron blocks with there lift kits.

Ive heard aluminum was the better choice when I asked a few people.

Blocks are cheap so I dont really mind switching to cast iron if it could take more punishment. I am just looking to be safe.
