I highly doubt it was a "design flaw", these things are looked over 1000 times before you ever get to see them.

My guess is, they were having problems getting some crash test to pass and they had to extend it out for more crush zone.

Maybe scottscan should hit something and test my theroy!


BTW, I do like that truck - and the mod. SinceI don't plan onhitting anythingI need to figure out a way to do this to mine!

I had always noticed the misalignment on both GrayI & II. I just figured, oh well typical! The fix made such a difference that it can't be ignored. Nice work! Truck looks great. I wish your shop were in Florida. I would pay to have you make the change on my truck. You hit upon what a forum can do to make a difference by coming up with a valuable idea and sharing it. Thanks.
