I was just wondering if anyone knew about how much it would cost to get my front and rear bumpers painted to match the rest of my truck. I have an ST and I hate the plain plastic front and rear bumpers. I'm talking good paint not some maaco paint job.

All depends on the shop, and how well you know the owners....

I've heard from as little as 100 dollars to a few hundred...

It varies.

it will cost a lot i was given an estimate of over 300.00 just for the frt bumper because mine is the stock gray. they need to remove the bumper and all the hardware to paint. they dont shoot them on the truck.
here was the break down

refinish frt bumper cover-2.3 hours
remove/install frt bumper-1.0 hours
clear coat
paint/ other materials - $192.00
hazard waste disposal - $ 4.00
labor was - $ 60.00 an hour

all said and done was - $ 347.68

Hmm, that still seems a little on the expensive side to me. You can save the labor on the removal/installation of the bumper by taking it off yourself and bringing it in to them. Just be careful and wrap it in very soft towels + saran wrap for the trip back

The estimate I got to get my front bumper painted was $475. My bumper has the chrome piece on top. I did do it myself and it came out crappy. The paint is peeling off of the chrome piece even though I was real careful to clean it good and sand the chrome. I would like to get another bumper without the chrome piece like on st models and try again. I am getting my grille painted black to match my truck some time this month. The estimate I got for that was $295.

It's probably so expensive because they'd need to sand down the bumper to make it smooth. It may be worth it to see how much a new SLT one it - it would save a lot of prep!

You can save some bucks removing it, but I think they would want the trick there to match it...

Ask them what you can do yourself, a lot of shops will work with you.
