hey everyone my dad as a 2005 dodge dakota with the 3.7 and as soon as u start it up whether its cold or not it idles real hi and shakes the whole truck it only has 21000 miles on it any help would be appreciative thanks

 

if it has done this from the start you may need to check the spark plugs. some trucks came from the factory with incorrect gaps. one plug might be gapped correctly and the one next to it maybe 10ths off.

 

Agree with checking the plugs first. My 4.7 started idling really rough when the fuel injector went bad. We have the same fuel injectors so check that out too.
