only 1.5" with my trailmaster leveling kit, help.
I didnt run into that problem. At one point, I thought that about ONE of the U-bolts from the kit, it seemed to not wrap around the axle correctly down where its actually U shaped, at the very pit of the "U". After I gave it 500 miles and snugged them a bit more with a tq. bar, it all seems perfect.
If you look at the stock U-bolt, you will see that they made the inside of the U bolt flat down where it wraps the axle, actually making that section a tad wider.
Have you actually bolted them on tight yet? Mine had no problem fitting when all was finished.

I just took a look at my stock U-bolts and a new U-bolt from the kit (because I had bought 2 kits, I have extra). The two are nearly the exact same dimensions when it comes to the thickness, width, and space between sides in and out. Check that and if they dont come real close to matching, run back and see if the same kit has ones that do, or are bent correctly (thats a shot in the dark)
Hopefully we are dealing with the same kit, they should all be the same parts at different autozones right?

My kit from autozone is manufactured by Superior Automotive (redbox). "1" Lift/Lowering Kit Round U-Bolts" I will bring it into the grage tonight and take a closer look. Any idea of oyur brand?
Thats my kit, and thats my brand. Like I said mine fit just fine. Ive carried countless loads already, driven it at least 3000 miles, and everything is snug, tight, and perfect. Maybe you should run back over to autozone this weekend and check another box out and see if your U-bolts were angled wrong. Thats all I can think of.
When I actually put a U-bolt on the axle, I can freely move it over and back. It just hugs snug, but nowhere near being to small for the axle.
