What comes from the factory and are you guys still under warrenty?
Do you think different plugs (especially heat range) would void your warrenty?
My '05 has the 100,000 powertrain warrenty, I have 19K on it so I am a little cautious.

Read the capitalized thread stated...

It will explain everything you need to know.

swapping out the plugs wont void the warrenty. if you start messing the the pcm like i did with custom flashes and stuff then it will. any bolt on will not void warrenty even nitrous. but make sure you remove the entire kit before going to the service dept

OK, so if a colder plug causes the PCM to richen up, carboning up the heads and a chunk of carbon sticks a valve open they can say the colder plugs contributed to it!?

Just asking!!!

that has nothing to do with it. it helps burn the extra gas from wrong detonation. plus it is dynoed to give 4 to 5 more horsepower.

Do you still need to gap a plug before installing it? I haven't swapped plugs on anything in years...

Plugs usually come pregapped but is allways a good idea to double check them before you put them in.

What do they need to be gapped to?

I've never changed my plugs before, and I think I may just have to do this this upcoming weekend.... :-)
