At first, I could not figure out what your debt loads had to do with anything. Then I read somethings about american insurance, and now I understand. In Canada, insurance companies cannot review credit reports, debt reports, or anything else that has little or no bearing on ones likelyhood of getting into an accident. Now I am really for these devices. Some of you guys are getting screwed. Debt load....what the hell does that have to do with ones chances of getting into a vehicle accident? How does it contribute to a drivers vehicle operating experience.

Thank God it is the law here (province to province) and thus the Government states what information an insurance company may or may not use to determin rates. Its the only thing I can think of the Government has done to be helpful.

I don't get what debt has to do with insurance costs either. Then again, their goal is just to suck money out of you however they can and avoid paying if at all possible[&:]
