Exhaust Measurements
Hey y'all.....
I'm determined to get a flowmaster exhaust system on my truck. I was just quoted $450 for the following: the coverter to the rear is cut off (both resonators), install stainless pipingwith Flowmaster series 40 muffler, polished chrome tips.
I know from previous experience and bloggers on here it's much cheaper to get everything and then just have someone weld it. I was told in order to obtain my muffler I need to know the inlet and outlet and what size pipe I'm running etc. measurements and the like for the flowmaster to be matched to my truck. Everything is stock. Does any one know the what the measurements are so I can hopefully have this installed by tomorrow???
And would you recommend any particular exhaust tips in refrence to quality etc.???

RE: Exhaust Measurements
Stock piping is 2.5" inside diameter, if you're running back from the y-pipe you're probably best to stay with that size piping, that's what I did. I have some Hooker Headers tips I put on mine, can't say how well they hold up since they haven't been on there long but they look nice and they're made in the USA.
