Default Question for a friend

Hello all, my friend has a newer model Dakota(not 100% sure of year 06-07) and for about the first 20 minutes after he starts his truck the seat belt light comes on(even if you have the seat belt on) and dings the whole time. Any idea what would cause this and any possible fixes?

there is a switch where the belt clips into...make sure the wires are still connected to it. i am sure there is a plug somewhere under the seat. Good Luck

We checked the cables under the seat and everything seems to be snuggly in place any other ideas?

Set it on fire, then bring it to the dealer, and have them fix it... tell them that when you were driving, the alarm wouldn't stop going off, and then it set ablaze...

Well, maybe that wouldn't work...

Try resetting the PCM... pull the PCM fuses, ALL OF THEM, then wait thirty or so seconds, get in the truck, close the door, insert key, and hold key in the START position for 10 seconds, or until the dinging starts going... get out, put fuses back in, and see if it helps. :-)

Hope it works!

Under the hood, on the left, right in front of the firewall.
