it counts them because it is in the run position, it doesent know that the motor isent on. equipment does the same thing.just put the key in the aux position. I also turned off the door chime so I could have the doors open

ya, you can turn the door chime off, its in the owners manual. get in the truck, buckle up, turn key on-off 4 times ending with it on and hit the lock button, should here a ding. do all of it in less then 10 sec. I also have my seat belt chime off

Just went out to the truck cause it was killing me to find out how many hours I had on it. 31,928 miles 959 hours, average of 33.29 mph

I also tried to shut off my seat belt chime and the door open chime, I'll mess with that later to see if it really worked.
