Decided to see how close the Dakota was to the neon for the 1st 1/8th mile. Closer than I thought! I had my girlfriend drive the truck, I drove the neon. The neon ran a best time of 14.20@98.0 mph in the 1/4.
This race is just the 1/8th mile to make it more fair for the truck and its superior traction. lol

what really sucks is that the neon is banging 4th gear and the dak is still in second chuggin along.

 

What kind of mods did the neon have? The dak. a V8 or 6?

 

The neon was in 3rd @ the 1/8th. It is into 4th in the 1/4 though, which actually sucks for the neon. 4th gear is a mild overdrive. [:@]

 

Neon is a SOHC with most bolt ons, stock bottom end.

The Dakota is a V8 with asome mods, awd launch.

 

That's the problem with the AWD, too much weight, but launch great.
