Default K&N drop in question..

So i got a K&N air fitler with the litle gasket for $1.99 at walmart. My walmart wont be carrying K&N anymore and they cleared em out for 2 bucks, no joke. So I got this thing and was even wondering if I shoudl bother installing it.

Anyone have a drop in?

It's gotta be better than your stock one, either way it's a free filter change so why not?

worst case is to sell it and make some money. but i had a drop in filter that worked, it was the k/n. now i have the complete system. go ahead and use it, you will see a difference with it right of the bat.

I was really hoping that it would do somthing for fuel economy. But I really doubt that it will. Everyone thats got one tells me no. Although my gfs father told me he got somthing like 3mpg increase, after numerous checks on his commute in an 02 saturn sl2. That could be a whole different ball game though.

yeah it's better than the stock filter, more air flow, and re-usable! we put a drop in in my mom's Galant, works great, and don't need to replace it. I just clean it whenever I clean my filter.
