Help
ok, so i purchased a HD LCD TV and it has mini VGA port for hookin it up via the computer. i plugged the mini VGA into my laptop and my tv, changed the tv input to the correct selection, and there is no signal. do i need to install something? i thought it was plug and play....couldnt find anything in the control pannel, but i might have overlooked it. help me please

VGA is plug and play, but you may have to set your graphics card to display on a second monitor... I'd say right click on the desktop, go to properties, then settings... thats where youd change the default monitor, so maybe thats a place to start. also try restarting.

I have to be honest... I dont like vista. I got it with the "express upgrade" on my computer and I formatted and went back to media center... Its just too buggy for me right now. there isnt a lot of realy stable software for it yet. maybe they will get it figured out, but I am going to guess not. lol

lol, well to tell you the truth, thus far (as in today aka since i installed it) i have had no problems and it has not seemed buggy at all. im actually very pleased.

SP1 is Service Pack 1. It's basically a collection of windows updates all rolled into one along with some larger fixes to make Windows run more smoothly. Anyone with an up-to-date XP installation should be running SP2 right now, no service packs for Vista yet.
Kind of OT but was it you who mentioned before you had a friend who worked at a shop that could do chrome coatings on plastic and other non-metallic materials?
