Default Leveling kit woes

I am so tired of trying to install the damn leveling kit....I have had it apart a couple of times but just cant compress the springs far enough. For those who had them installed where did you get them installed? For those around Fayetteville, NC or Portsmouth,VA area and can do it for me for money/beer/both...just let me know. Thanks, David

I ended up having mine installed at the dealer but only because I found one of my struts was cross-threaded once I got the spring compressed. I also had a lot of trouble with that, call up a local auto shop you trust and ask them if they have a wall mounted spring compressor. If they do ask them how much they'd charge you to bring in the two struts and have them put the spacers in. With the wall-mounted unit it's ridiculously simple to compress the springs (all of 30 seconds).

Only thing to watch out for make sure you mark the alignment of everything as shown in the trailmaster instructions (drawing the line down the spring, spring seat, and strut). You need to make sure they line this back up once the spacer is in or your bolts will not line up when you go to reinstall the struts in the truck. Honestly though, as long as your struts aren't messed up from Dodge, it's quite easy to do it this way. The shop was going to charge me $30 to do it, they waived the fee when we couldn't get the nut off without fear of snapping the strut.

I just used the old manual spring compressors and an impact gun to compress my struts. One on each side of the strut and was good to go

Got mine installed at a local shop that had a spring compressor. Charged me for an hour of labor as it was their first time installing this kind but was worth the problem I would of face doing it myself...
