i used some of that high temp crap on my single tip last year, anyone remember? a few days later, the paint had boiled off. i forgot what temp i used though, but i was shocked
Yipes, maybe it's not such a good idea then. I'd take it off and have it powdercoated but I had it all welded so taking of would be a bit of a pain.

when i had my 3 inch single installed i had them remove both resonators. sounds really sweet and when we went to dyno day everyone was around listening to it scream. not really that much different with only one.resonator compared to when the stock hemis were on the dyno.

oh sorry altair i just now saw your question. i used high temp black from auto zone. but i cheated...i used the black engine enamel because it has a MUCH higher temp. 3 months later it is still pure black all over. however, it never rains here so maybe thats why. it is always foggy though so there IS moisture on it. anyways, it's holding up from me. And i used rags to cover up where i didnt want black...it turned out great.

when i put my borla on, i took 1 reso off, and left 1 on. how much of a better flow do you think i will get if i take the other reso off, also, i know borla is known for being relatively quiet at idle, but with a distinctive tone when on it. think i would get much louder if i took that last reso off?
yeah, the reso is just a straight through pipe but the oval casing around it absorbs sound.

I like the look of the tail pipes coming outon the side. I just dont know about it, it looks like it comes down beneath the frame which might make it prone to getting hit underneath....just my take on it.

Drew, you do realize most spray paints have like a 7 day full cure... right?

I know I've painted a bunch of things, and I always wait about a week before I do anything further with it...

Hey night runner any way we can get a sound clip of the exhaust? I have to add a muffler and I am trying to decide what to get...It is muffler-less now and I like the sound...maybe even a little louder?

well, i love my borla, and it is a considerable amount quieter than most other brands...when you step on it, it really lets it out however...and borla is a very distinct sound....if you end up wanting it, i can tell you where to get the muffler cheap (compaired to msrp)

here are the only 2 i have made, if you do a search on here for borla, i am sure you will find a thread by me, i made one right after having it put on and there could be some useful info in there...and i did leave 1 reso on, i have been debating since day one whether to take it off or not....i like it, although a little louder would be nice, but i drive a lot of highway miles, so i dont want it to be too loud...but there is very little cab drone...
