yah they suggested that... but two words made me cringe, cut and weld. my passengers can just hold the vibrating box of fun.
Isn't there usually some flex between the bed and the cab? I would imagine that might cause problems...

I would build a custom box to make it look like the rear seats had a center console on the floor. Put the sub on the underside firing downwards and maybe even build some cupholders into the top of the box. Definitely find a way to clean up those wires!

the guy at the shop said he would make that arm rest cup holder thingy in the back. i have options. Important Note by the way: all you beginners make sure you break in your sub, it makes all the difference...

Little more info on this breaking in? I never did it with my last system and had no problems with it.

Run the sub at 1/2 power (or dial down the gain if your amp is not bridged) for two weeks (if you have relatively short trips) or for like two days straight. It gives the speaker surround etc. time to soften up without damage.
