OK NOW I'm pissed
some of you guys cant even spin your tires? thats pathetic. my 20 year old 1988 dakota 3.9 5 spd with 248,000 miles on it can spin the tires, and thats being easy on the clutch too. too bad it doesnt have heat or a/c or a radio or power anything.
I don't really want to burn my tires. BWTS I would like to be able to just knowing I can because I have that much grunt. But I can't with my HO with the BFGs ATs on it. Hell my old 2.4 Caravan could spin one tire non LSD. Is there anyone here that can break loose the BFGs TAs with a 4.7HO TRX-4 non AWD? I'm sure I could cook those Good Year wranglers and whatever else Dodge installs on non TRX trucks. The 4.7 along with that slush box tranny and torque management add AT tires and it just doesn’t have the brass to smoke crap.
Okay WAYY to much reading for me... but yeah my 3.7L 6-SPD... well lets just say the only way I can burn out is if I floor the gas in 1st and dump the clutch... and as far as breaking the tires loose... I can only do that when its wet and I take a turn and give her some gas... but thats easy... the think that really pisses me off is I can't really brake torque my truck and peel out...
it sounds funny to me because theres no loud growl from the exhaust but ill fix that soon enough. it will also leave faint marks for about 5ft. not to impressive I know but its a start
i think your guys's trucks are just too damn heavy. hell I think my gen2 is too heavy for it's size. on my 88 me and 2 of my friends can actually pick up the back end of it like a foot off the ground.
if any of you cant smoke your tires theres something wrong with you, ive smoked anything ive ever gotten in to and thats including a 11,000 pound work truck! that was a site to see!
