Default New Member- Water on Floorboard issue

Greetings all. I'm a new member and Irecently picked up a 2006 Dakota ST 3.7 (6 speed). I like the truck alotbut I drove to work in the rain on 10/23/07 and 2 days later noticed the passenger side floor mat was drenched pretty badly. I hit a few puddlesbut it wasn't raining thathard. To findabout a quart of water saturated in the floor mat got me concerned. I've seen a couple of posts where folks had the same issue. Anyone know if Dodge has acknowledged this and if there's a sure fix for it? The truck only has 14k miles on it so I hope it's covered by warranty even though I bought it used. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is pretty common or far too common a better way of saying it. I had a 06 that had this problem. They replaced the carpet and had a 3rd. party leak detection service make the repair of course under warranty. In my case it was said there was an upper weld in the door jam area that was the leak source.
