Default TRX-4 & Rear sway bar

Anyone with a TRX-4 package knows that they "delete" the rear sway bar that would be normally on the Dak. Why. I'm not sure but it may be due to the so-called HD rear shocks or the fact that the truck has a 1" factory lift. I talked to the parts dept. at my dealer and ask them to price a bar assembly for me. By the time they had a total of the bar, links and hardware it was over $300.00 non installed. No FN way! Not for that shinny coathanger. Then he said there’s a chance that the end links won’t work with a TRX-4 because of the lift. I check on line for a 3rd. party bar kit but nothing for Gen IIIs. Anyone else know of a source?

I already confirmed with Damn Dirty Ape that the TRX4 doesnt sit higher in any way shape or form, its the exact hieght of any of the 4x4 or 4x2s.

he new 08s no longer have the sway bar either. Its pretty much pointless anyway.

The TRX4 package includes 265/70/16 tires standard. These are about 1 inchtaller in diameter than a 245/70/16. Therefore it should ride a 1/2 inch higher than a truck with the 245/70/16's. Not sure if they have a 1" lift or not. When I bought mine (2006 TRX4)it didnt say that it did. As far as the "delete rear sway bar" I assume they feel it would give you more ground clearance (wont get hung up off roading)... But that is just a guess!

Didn't remember if I ever PM'd you , but the wheel center cap to top of wheel arch on my trx4 is about 19 1/4-1/2" on the front. That is without the TM kit. With it is about 21 1/4"even.
