Default Power wire

Ok well I read the post on the power wire but I still have a few questions. Hopefully this week I plan on doing an oil change, put some autolites in, and doing the power wire, if I can. Will the power wire work on a 3.7? Is everything the same? This is a leased truck, so would anyone advise against doing it? Also, where do you place the resistor, what wire and where? And one more thing, how many more MPG's should I really expect with my sis driving it? Or really how much horsepower? Can you tell a difference in the peddle? Thanks!
