But, Eric, it's "only" 10 or 12 thousand outta pocket, that he has to pay.

Sounds like money isn't an issue, and therefore, he should be driving a Rolls, or Bentley around.

forget that diesel stuff. not worth the money unless you take truck off the road and strickly use it for racing. you will need the tranny that goes with the motor, which wont fit unless major fab is done also you will need to beef of the rear end. diesel is not the way to go. for alot less money and a better truck the new 426 stroker motor is the way to go. based off of the 360 block which will fit with no problem and be worthy to drive. get as much power out of it as the diesel

The 5.9 isa big beast...not that I'm opposed to cramming one into a Dakota, but did you consider the 3.0L diesel they put in the new Grand Cherokees? I'll bet that would get a Dak moving pretty quick too...

With that much into it why didnt you get something else? like something that already has a 5.9 or 6.7? Oh, and which 5.9 are ou going with? 12 valve? 24 valve? 610? what year?

Orrrrrr, that 7.1L they are offering in the Steroid Bee, that they are releasing only for the Challenger.
