No such problem on luvmydak's '05 1/4 doors, either side. No lube applied, ever, but will start doing so.

Nope I haven't applied anything yet, checkin to see if any of you guys have had this issue before.

Frenchy No, mine does open fine, just like before anyway, just makes a horrid noise like the door is old and falling apart.

I'm thinking I'll try using some WD-40 after I take her to the Wash today...

On topic - off subject question:

Did anyone ever find out if the hinges for the rear doors off of an 07 will fit on an 05 so that the doors on an 05 would open farther?

I was told by the parts guy at my dealer that it should bolt right up but the hinges are extremely expensive (forget the exact amount but I can say I won't be doing it unless I find and 07+ in a junk yard to pull them off of).

For both sides? I may have to go chew my parts guy out then, I was quoted a lot more than that...

I think that was per side, actually, I remember like 174 per hinge, and there are 4 hinges...

Ok that would be more on-par with what I was told. I'd like to have it, just not quite that badly.

Yeah, this door thing is getting really anoying. Frenchy, did you say yours just does not like to open? Mine feels like when you pull on the handle it is jammed, then if you pull real hard, almost like your gonna break the plastic handle, it opens, then it opens and closes fine for awhile, then you go to open it again and it does the same thing over. We took it in a couple of weeks after we bought it and they said they fixed it, but they obviously did not...

Mine is hard to open as well, only on the passenger side. I wonder if there is a way to ajust the cable the is attached to the door handle.
