Glove Box Lamp
Just for your info....... some may not care, if they have a "Glove Box Lamp" or not.
But,I guess the "Glove Box Lamp" was standard on the Quad Cab SLTand not on the Club Cab SLT.
If you do not have a glove box lamp, open your glove box and see if there is a plug/cover in the upper
left corner. If you feel behind this cover/plug you should feel some wiring back there, if so, all you have to do is get
Part # 4565022 -"Glove Box Lamp Assy" (this replaced Part # 55361341AAlisted in the OEM Parts Manual) which is in another post. I got it from the dealer, cost is about $8.75. Just push out the plug/cover,disconnect the wiring connector and plug the new Glove box lamp assy in and reinsert back into the hole.
I know this works for the 2005 Dakota Club CabSLT as I have this truck and I did what I just posted.
This should work for others years/models also.

Both my 06 & 07 did not come with one. I ordered the light @ 12.95 from the dealer. No harness plugs at all in either truck. I have access to Molex automotive connectors so I got one through our Molex dealer that fit the light assembly connector. I wired it to the consol AUX power port that is always hot. I find the light useful. I also added a white LED in my consol with a mercury tilt switch installed in the lid. There is a thread I loaded some pics to for these additions back around eightmonths ago.

Very true. I had a 1991 Mercury Capri (pretty small car) that had a bigger glove box than my 2007 Dakota SLT Quad Cab has. This one barely holds the manual, my registration, and proof of insurance. Forget putting anything else in there.

fyi, i have an 06 quad cab slt, no light...imo its not really needed, the damn thing opens far enough, even in the dead of night the dome light illuminates the whole thing. and its not hard to find 1 of 3 things, but thats my personal opinion on my situation. others may vairy

It is probably the most useless thing ever though.
