Default I needed something to haul my lazybum around with....

So I ended up buying a 1992 Toyota Celica GT, tcost me all of 140 dollars, the girl said the brakes were broken, and that first gear was shot, cuz it wouldn't go anywhere in first...

I got in the car, put it in first, and let out the clutch, gave er some gas, and she started moving... I was like, ok, dumb girl, doesn't know what shes talking about...

Well, the fact that it sat forever, the rear driver side brake locked up (rusted), and it was on some snow, was making it so the car didn't move... so we rocked it back and forth for about 20 minutes, and then, shoveled the snow in front of the car, the rear braek was still locked, and it drove fine... got it to the road, and as soon as I started going on pavement, it freed up... So, I have a PERFECTLY fine running car, with the execption of the rear passenger brake light, that I picked up for 140 dollars. :-)

It's a 5spd, with 4wheel disc brakes. ;-)

Gonna paint the stock wheels black, and paint the calipers red. :-)

I'm going to need some new rotors and calipers and pads though...

Oh well! :-)

Here's a pic....

Not bad for $140..... I would have even considered it for a winter rat to keep the Miata off the road in the winter.

Nono, I'm gonna fix it up...

Its gonna be the car that is gonna get me from MI to wherever my sister and her husband get stationed...

Something about 30 - 35mpg on the highway, seems a lot better than 17 - 22...

Also, if I fix it all up, I'm not sure if you guys know the resale on these things, but if I fix it up, put about 500 - 1000 dollars into it, and get it back to "like new" excellent condition... I can sell it for 3,000 dollars... and that's basing it off of 175,000 miles, whereas it has 158,000 right now...

That all depends on if I want to sell it or not...
