Just go to the service desk at dodge and get the left and right switchs.I think it cost me $40.00 and it works fine.

Ya. I have a an st with no options and it has the same wire harnes as the full load slt. I think there are two bolts that hold on the air bag, take that off and there are two different sets of wires.

I also have a bare-bones ST...was your project 100% plug-and-play? Is the wiring hiding behind that blank cover-plate on the steering wheel?
For $40, that's totally worth it...esp when I make the 900 mile drive from SC to NY.
Also, do you have an auto or stick? Any reason why cruise would be an issue on with the 6spd?
I'll swing by the dealership and ask them about this too, sounds like a no-brainer to me.

The crusie/speed control package #82209241 is more than 2 switches,
it also has the "Servo unit".
which I'm sure was not installed at the factory...........
Look at the rear of your throttle body and see if there are 2 cables...one goes into the firewall on the left side
the second one would go to the speed/cruise control servo, which if youfollow the cable wouldgo to servo in
the right front just behind the coolant recovery bottle.
This web site belowshows it costing $182.25 + shipping

I installed crusie/speed control on a 1997 Dakota , with that package you
had to replace the "clock spring", but it looks like you do not with the 2005- 2007
Also, read the service manual on how to remove the "Air bag" -- Important !!!!!!!![sm=goodidea.gif]

Stopped by the Dodge dealership today and dropped the question on the parts dept. manager, he was interested but admitted he'd never heard of it. He also couldn't find the part number for an '07 speed control...shocking.
VA Dakota- Since 07 throttles are electronically controlled, the throttle body must already have a servo attached. For non throttle-by-wire trucks, a servo would be necessary. That's the question I forgot to ask Mikey - do you have a 2007 ST?

I have an 07 st and they dident stock the switches for an 07 so i got the ones for an 05. It was just plug and play but i have an auto so not sure how it would work on a stick and, its an electronic throttle so there is no need to worry about cables just let the computer deal with that. Haha even the cruse light was in the dash so im sure it would work with the stick the only prob. you might run into is not having a sensor on the clutch but that is easaly fixxed.
