has anyone found any shifters for our trucks? i have been looking and have had no luck.

It won't be a short throw, if that's what you are looking for, but it will be a shorter shifter...

 

yea thats what i was wanting was a short throw. man they dont make nothing for us.

 

Have you taken a look under the shift boot?

 

I can't even get the shift **** off of mine, must be a press on. I've looked under the shfit boot before and the shifter seems to have a weird bend in it going into the tranny. Probably why you can't get a body lift for a dakota with amanual tranny

 

In order to get the shift know off, you have to find a small screwdriver, and get it behind the shift pattern thing, then once that comes off, you'll notice there is a bolt holding the shift **** onto the shift arm...

it's really a TOTAL pain in the rear.....

 

i saw an episode of trucks when they took a fullsize ram and removed the shifter arm, cut it in half and welded a pistol grip shifter onto it like 70 muscle cars, looks really sweet
