Hardwire my XM radio?
I just bought my first Dodge vehicle, a 2007 Dakota Quad Cab SLT. I know it has Sirius satellite factory installed, but I'm wanting to hardwire an XM receiver into the factory stereo. I've used an FM modulator that hooks directly to the antenna wire in the past, but I was hoping there was some way to hardwire into the headunit. There is a 10-pin connector that I believe is the input from the Siruis receiver (located under the rear street side seat). Is there any way to splice into this connector? Or add some add'l wires to the connector in order to emulate another AUX input?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated?
FYI...might use the same setup for my iPod if I can get something working.

Hope and pray for the XM/Siriusmerger!!!!! That way we can all just have one radio...

If yours has the small aux headphone jack on the front you could plug into that, won't look as clean but should be better quality than FM modulator.
If that merger happens I may actually suck it up and subscribe

They talk about on Stern almost daily, it sounds like things are being reviewed at a snail's pace. The conspiracy theory is that the FM lobby is dragging things out to try and sink XM and Sirius, both of which are tight on cash these days. The debate is whether the sattelite merger will create a monopoly; which is total B.S...
Anyway, I'm staying tuned.
