Here in Jersey, ANY kind of cover/tint/obstruction of vehicle lighting, regardless of head or tail, is strictly prohibited.

if you call the state police, they can tell you what is and is not cool...
I have called the state police in Maine about different issues before and found that most of the time if I call three times about the same issue 3 days in a row I will get 3 different answers. I would ask around 4 or 5 different places that perform state inspections in your state and ask them if that would pass, if most say no odds are you'll get ticketed for it at some point.

I'm not trying to be not friendly...

I'm just stating the things I would do differently, as to make it look a lot better, and legal...

Sorry for coming off wrong...

I like the tail lights a lot. I did the same thing to my dak, but I used transparent black paint and tinted them myself leaving just the circles un-tinted. Then I clear coated it and it looked pretty awesome...that was until the paint started peeling off. I wasn't using the right paint though, I was using model car paint, which I read in another forum worked well...but in reality it doesn't. You made the right choice and went with the automotive grade paint put on by a pro so I'm sure your paint will last.

Looks good, keep up the good work and keep us posted. I have to put some new pics up of my truck once I get my leveling kit and intake in, I just but the nightrunner headlamps on and they look sharp.
