so will putting the ram front assembly on hurt 4x4 trucks? i would think it would bind the front axles up. does this also include using the ranchoquick lift? i'm totally clueless on this one.thanks for all the research done on this topic.

wow! nice work. When you say that we'll need the "top mount" is that the unit that is attached to the frame rail? or is it the item that secures the spring to the strut assembly? i'm thinking factory ram struts will provide lft similar to the tm kit plus a fimer, smoother suspension travel. whether they bind CVs, no one knows, but i'm guessing no. I'm lookin' for a little more than what the tm kit has given me; which is less than the claimed 2". Tightness in the steering is normal on a 4x4, but i do not want to risk damage. Slightly premature wear, on the other hand is a necessary evil. I think 3" is safeand will be trying this operation when the opportunity arrives.

So if you can get the ram struts to fit, what would it take to modify and use a rams suspension lift?

I am having trouble finding 06 ram struts and springs. Or a complete assembly. I just wanna know what kinda $ we're talkin about. Just to make sure: The top and bottmof a ram strut and spring complete assembly will fit into thelower control arm andupper strut mount of a dak?

The "strut top-mount" is the part that holds the strut assembly together. The piece that's welded to the frame rails is what I've been calling the "upper spring perch". The "lower spring perch" is the part on the strut body where the bottom of the spring rests. In retrospect, I should have been using the terminology from the Dodge part lists (strut top-mount = shock upper mount) They don't label the "upper spring perch" since it's a welded part of the truck frame. If it was bolted on this whole affair would be easier; You could just drill new holes and move it up or down to adjust ride height.

thanx i figured it out i was too lazy to go look. I see that they have strut spacers that fit both ram and dakota, so that tells me that the ram strut assebly should bolt right up. Now where to get the whole shebang.
