Had my swaybar bushings replaced at 60,000km (37282.27miles for you USers) Fixed my noisy front end on an '05 AWD Dakota. Is there a heavier swaybay or heavierduty bushings available?

I'm a new Dakota owner, I just had my sway bar ends replaced as wellon my 06 with 13000, it sounded like the front end was going to fall off! All quiet now, warranty is a GOOD thing!

MY TURN!!! my truck is still doing all of the same clunking and banging and everything else in the front end as described in previous posts. With 41k on it, the warranty is no longer(05). I brought it into the shop(NOT Dodge) this morning and they said they found the passenger side stabilizer link is broken, which is what connects the sway bar to the frame.
That pretty much sounds like what everyone elses problem was, and hopefully once they fix it, I'll be good to go again.
They need to order them from Dodge and replace both side. Parts are $60 each, labor about $120,
so total should be $240ish to have this done....
Does this sound about right to everyone who had it done?
I'd hate like hell to give them the go-ahead and it turns out to be another problem...

I think they are about about $30 each from Dodge (if I remember correctly) and you can do it yourself in about 20 minutes and metric wrenches.

Just a thought!

The labor is way to much, you could replace the entire sway bar in 1 hr.

I have also had this problem for some time now. It is getting really bad and I have also noticed that the front end nowshakes when hitting the brake and gets worse with hard or downhill braking. I know its not the rotors bc I just replaced them and the brake pedal doesnt pulsate. Anyone else have that problem? I have 92000 miles on my 05.. I do a lot of driving. I alsohave the new Monroe shocks on order but of course they are on backorder till May 28th. And does anyone know if there are any aftermarket bushings that are better? Has anyone had any problems other than the swaybar bushings?

It is just the link from the sway bar to the control arm, not rocket science, just get your hands dirty and dig in, you can do it and save some serious cash for BEER!!!

I've had to replace one while unsuccessfully trying to put in my TM kit awhile ago (couldn't compress the springs), cost me $60 at Dodge if I remember right, it's pretty straightforward to do. Can't really give you a time estimate since I was taking everything apart to get the struts out but for one side I'd imagine an hour or so if you're not familiar with it.
