Default Can Not Fill My Gas Tank!!!

I just registered on this forum and I really like it. This is my first post too. Anyhow, I have a '05 Dak. About two weeks ago I was at the gas station filling up and I could barely get gas into my tank. The pump kept shutting off as if my gas tank was full, but it really wasn't. If I pulled the pump nozzle all the way out and let gas flow into the neck it would completely back up to the top of the neck and slowly trickle down. It took me forever to fill up my tank. A week later my engine check light came on. I took it to the dealership. The engine check light was a loose evap hose, and supposely nothing to do with the tank. They tell me I need a new tank. I have them put on a new tank. I pick it up and still have the same problem. So I took it back inthis morning. Has anybody ever heard of a problem like this before?? I appreciate anyones input. Thanks.

I would check the filler hose to the tank.

Just a thought: when you are watching the level in the neck go down, is it bubbling?

Filler hose is not clogged. Yes it isbubbling.

Could it have something to do with the vapor recovery system, bad refueling valves or the gas tank is not venting?

Look up under your truck right at the gas cap. You'll see one big hose for the gas to go in and one little hose for the air to get out. The little hose is plugged somewhere between the tank and the gas cap. It's part rubber and part metal so you can disconnect it and run a wire orblow into itup/down do find where it's plugged and clean it out. When you get it fixed go fill the truck up to make sure it works. After that, goto the dealer and tell them you want a refund because they didn't fix the problem, you did.

Problem fixed. One of the refueling valves was sticking on the new tank. Thanks for the inputs.
